It was once one of the flagship gaming GPUs, but the 1080Ti still holds its own in 2024. It may not be the newest card on the block, but it’s got more than enough horsepower to run most of today’s games at decent settings and FPS.
As part of our research into the best products ahead of the Christmas period, we’re tracking some of the most popular gaphics cards to make sure you’re in the know when it comes to when to pick them up. And the good news is, the 1080Ti – at least the EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti FTW3 Gaming version, could well see a drop in price ahead of Black Friday. Based on historical data from our own experience and supported by Camel, Camel, Camel data, Nvidia’s 1080Ti could drop by a decent margin.
This is based on the past year’s worth of sales data, which clearly shows a drop from the baseline price around the $500 mark. The card has since declined even more in price, currently hovering around the $339 mark. If another drop was to happen, the card could well fall below the $300 mark. Note, this would be for a third-party new model, as obviously the 1080Ti is now out of production.
.We’ve has extensive experience with the 1080Ti and can safely say it’s a great companion for 1080p gaming. Should the price drop once again this November, it could well be a fantastic deal for either those after a budget PC set up, or for those wanting to build a smaller PC for gaming in the living room.
