CS:GO why does everybody hate Mirage: Mirage has to be the map that divides the community the most, on one hand, we have the players that love it and others that want to see it removed from the game completely come the launch of CS2. Pretty drastic if you ask us, but it begs the question, why does everybody hate Mirage?

Why does everybody hate Mirage?

Well, I mean not everybody hates Mirage, obviously. But it seems like every post I see throws shade on the poor map. I’ve dug out some particularly interesting comments from the best community for this sort of thing Reddit, that made a particularly strong point.

S1MCB ramp smokes CS:GO why does everybody hate Mirage?

A user on Reddit S1MCB says it’s the players that know ramp smokes that do it for them.

Drozd d80 feels wrong CS:GO

Reddit user drozd_d80 says that Mirage just feels wrong, and calls for the removal of mainstream maps to help garner experience in the lesser-known maps.

Ownround sick of mirage CS:GO why does everybody hate Mirage?

Reddit user OwnRound makes some interesting points on the matter, I for one hate it when my teammates are incompetent, even though I usually am that incompetent teammate.

How does the office feel about Mirage?

I even went as far as to ask the office how they feel about Mirage, well I asked the only two people that talk to me, and they both happen to be Eastern European. So we know they mean business when it comes to CS:GO.

First up we have … Chad

CS:GO why does everybody hate Mirage? chad

Chad says Mirage is a beige boring hellhole, I’m just paraphrasing, or projecting.

Next up is … Chadette

So, mixed opinions there in my acceptable sample size of two.

Is Mirage good?

Personally, I think it’s the people who know how to play Mirage that make us miserable, oh boo hoo, someone better than you has made you write an article complaining about Mirage.

Hear me out…

A lot of my CS:GO experience comes from matchmaking, I’ve played very few competitive game modes. When I have. I’ve been annihilated. Spanked up and down that beige hell. I don’t think the map stinks, I think we just stink.

We’re not willing to blame ourselves but we’re more than willing to blame a map or blame the players that know how to play it.

I think, probably, every CS:GO map is good, bar Overpass, and has its own good qualities, except Overpass, and is fairly enjoyable to play when you know what you’re doing, not Overpass.

Final Word

CS:GO why does everybody hate Mirage: In conclusion, Mirage, the CS:GO map, has become a subject of division within the community. While some players love it, others passionately want it removed from the game. The question remains: why does Mirage receive so much hate?

Through various comments and discussions on platforms like Reddit, several reasons for the dislike towards Mirage emerge. Some players attribute it to the frustration caused by opponents who are skilled at executing ramp smokes. Others feel that Mirage simply feels wrong and advocate for removing mainstream maps to encourage the exploration of lesser-known ones. Additionally, some players express dissatisfaction with incompetent teammates.

The dislike towards Mirage may stem from the frustration of facing skilled opponents who know how to play the map effectively. Mirage isn’t necessarily bad, we are.
