Cyberpunk 2077 had a nearly disastrous launch just shy of 2 years ago, which is pretty sad considering it was probably the most anticipated game of the previous couple of years. Now it seems, Cyberpunk is getting the recognition it now deserves, just in time for the Phantom Liberty DLC. Cyberpunk 2077 has finally recovered from its awful launch.

Cyberpunk 2077 recovers from its terrible launch.

We all know that Cyberpunk 2077 didn’t exactly have the greatest launch. The game was full of bugs, and performance issues, and was sometimes damn right unplayable. Not to mention the issues the game had on consoles. It’s safe to say that the launch of Cyberpunk 2077 went down in the history books as one of the worst launches to ever occur. However, CD Projekt Red stuck at it and didn’t give up.

The reviews finally reflected all of the work that was put into Cyberpunk 2077, nobody ever denied that it was a groundbreaking open-world game, it just didn’t work properly.

We’re now really happy to announce that the overall reviews on Steam for Cyberpunk 2077 are now “Very Positive”

This puts CD Projekt Red in a good place to sell the latest Cyberpunk 2077 DLC

Now that the reviews seemed to have bounced back, it seems that both Cyberpunk 2077 and CD Projekt Red are now in a good place to sell the Phantom Liberty expansion. This expansion for the game was likely delayed due to the state of the game upon launch because most DLCs don’t take 2 years to release.

The Phantom Liberty DLC will be released on the 26th of September 2023 and will take V to Dogtown, along with Idris Elba in an exciting action-packed continuation of the Cyberpunk 2077 story.

One can’t help but think the DLC wouldn’t be selling as well as it is if the game was still in a state of disrepair, so we’re really glad Cyberpunk 2077 has managed to bounce back from where so many other games have failed before it.
