Dead By Daylight just received update 5.5.1 and developer Behaviour Interactive is trying out a tweak to the Wiggle mechanic. Also known as “Wiggling”, the Wiggle mechanic is an integral part of Dead by Daylight. It is something that is only available to survivors and cannot be used by other character types. With the new update, Wiggle progress will no longer regress when not actively wiggling, with both the new and old wiggle interactions.

What to Expect From Dead By Daylight Update 5.5.1?

One of the biggest issues in recent patches was caused by the Eruption perk which went into cooldown when triggering on a completed generator. Behaviour Interactive has identified the issue and deployed a fix with the newest update. Unfortunately, the chain blink bug has not been addressed yet. The developer is still investigating reports of not being able to attack right after a chain blink. A fix for the issue will be available at a later date.

Dead by Daylight Update 5.5.1 Patch Notes

Here are the highlights of the new update:

  • Fixed an issue that caused a Glyph to spawn too high in the Yamaoka map.
  • Fixed an issue that caused The Artist to not fall smoothly from the Thompson house vault.
  • Fixed an issue that caused two pallets to spawn on the same tile in The MacMillan Estate.

In addition to all of the changes, the Haddonfield map and the Strode Realty Key offering have been disabled so the developers can work on fixes. They will be enabled in the near future. To check the official patch notes, click here.
