Valve released one of the most important Dota 2 updates in recent history, Dota 2 Patch 7.31c ahead of the Stockholm 2022 Major. The new 7.31 patch update addresses some of the outliers in the meta including Death Prophet, Tiny and Primal Beast. Some of the off-meta heroes were also buffed in the new update which should give them a boost in their pick rate. Here is a rundown of the biggest changes in the new Dota 2 7.31c update.

Tiny Hit With Nerfs Due to His Overwhelming Usage Rate

Tiny was one of the most dominant heroes in the previous update. He was everywhere from your ranked games to the DPC Eastern Europe playoffs. Due to the insane damage, he could do to buildings in the mid to late game, Valve had to tone down parts of his kit. Most notably, his early game damage was hit the most which will slow down his farming speed. It will still be possible to reach Tiny’s damage potential but players will need to farm more and be on the top of their game to get the most out of the hero.

Patch 7.31b Buffs Reversed for Primal Beast with patch 7.31c

Playing against Primal Beast was a nightmare in the previous update with Valve giving him some insane buffs in Dota 2 Patch 7.31b. The hero is not available in Captain’s Mode at the moment and is yet to be used in the competitive meta. But the casual games were being completely run over by Primal Beast.

Deat Prophet’s Damage Against Buildings Sharply Reduced

Death Prophet was banned more than every other hero in recent esports events. It was all due to the fact that she dealt double damage on buildings due to an unannounced change which had the entire Dota 2 community wondering what on earth Valve was thinking. Her win rate spiked like crazy throughout Dota 2’s competitive circuits and casual play. The change has been reverted and she is back to her original state which should tone things down.

All of the changes in the new update seem to have been implemented due to the Stockholm Major which is coming up very soon.
