Dying Light 2 recently received an update that enabled New Game Plus. You can now complete the game and continue exploring the game world on the same character. But the update also had its fair share of issues including players getting stuck in the prologue area and connectivity issues when trying to join other players’ worlds. A fix just dropped addressing the various issues that update 1.30 came with and players should now be able to co-op without running into rampant network issues.

New Game+ Playthroughs No Longer Bugged

After finishing it once, the game can be replayed again, only this time with modified game parameters in place to encourage a second playthrough by the implementation of a unique system and experience. The player can now go through the story with revitalized mechanisms.

New Game+ introduced enemy behaviors, more difficult encounters, new objects within the world, namely the newly added inhibitors, and many more changes that will significantly alter the gameplay style and allow the player to develop their character further. But the issue with the New Game+ mode was that players would end up in the prologue area even though they had already finished the prologue and progressed to Villedor. The issue has now been resolved as part of the newest update.

Safe Zone Bug Has Been Squashed

There was an issue in the previous update where players were not able to rest in safe zones due to the daytime being frozen. It affected challenge progression and some players were also not able to end their sessions in safe zones. The bug has been addressed in Hotfix 1.31 and safe zones can be accessed without any issues.

Co-op Connectivity Issues Resolved

The previous update had tons of connectivity issues where players were not able to join co-op worlds. Players would get kicked out frequently and the reconnect system did not work as intended. It is unknown why the issues occurred but Techland has managed to put a stop to the connectivity issues after updating to patch 1.31.

The new update is now live on PlayStation and PC and it should go live for Xbox after the patch is approved by Microsoft in a few days. To check out the full patch notes of the new Dying Light update, click here. If you want to know about everything that is wrong with Dying Light 2, click here.
