“Fallout: New Vegas was a great game”. The profound quote from Elon Musk’s X (formally Twitter) account last night, sparked joy in the hearts of diehard Fallout Nev Vegas fans, after all, it is nice to be validated. Elon Musk is a pretty smart dude, so he must know what he’s talking about.
I must admit, I’m not unbiased in this situation, Fallout: New Vegas is where Bethesda peaked (Yes I know it was Obsidian, comprised of old members from Black Isle). It is my all-time favorite game, and I control the WePC news, so you have no choice but to read about it.
Fallout New Vegas was indeed a great game
Fallout: New Vegas is a 2010 action role-playing game, again developed by Obsidian Entertainment, the same studio that brought you Outer Worlds, and published by Bethesda. The reason why it’s my favorite game of all time was the possibilities it presented to you. Not only that, but it’s well-written, fun, gritty, and emotional at times. It seems even Elon Musk himself enjoyed it.
Elon tweeted “At the risk of saying something controversial, Fallout New Vegas was a great game” in response to jbt7493 who was likely quoting something from Confucius, a Chinese philosopher. “Before you embark on a journey of revenge, dig two graves.” which to me, means anyone motivated by revenge is likely to do as much damage to him- or herself as the target of revenge.
Elon Musk likely made the connection due to your character in Fallout: New Vegas, the courier, motivated by revenge to track down the man that shot you in the head over something called the platinum chip, ring a ding ding, baby. C’mon, the game is 13 years old, it’s not a spoiler.
As a Fallout: New Vegas superfan, it’s nice to have your favorite game of all time validated by someone famous, even if it only came about loosely from a quote by a Chinese philosopher. Interesting, nonetheless.
I still play Fallout: New Vegas, and I also hope Elon does too, If you like this game, even half as much as I do, this is your sign to go play it again and start another playthrough. I know it’s the first thing I’m doing when I get home today.
