Epic Games Fortnite is consistently changing, and with its new update, v26.20, the Item Shop design received a massive change. The update has also brought many new cosmetic items, skins, emotes, Reality Augments, and the new Ahsoka Tano skin. You can also obtain the new free skin Redcap in the Refer-A-Friend program.

Of course, the quests and characters aren’t the only thing that changed. You will soon be cruising through the shop with a new, simple design. So, keep reading to find out what changes will come to the Fortnite Item Shop.

The Item Shop design in Fortnite has received a massive change

If there’s one place all players frequent that isn’t the Battle Royale, it would be Fortnite’s Item Shop. Here, you can view a plethora of items that have been released in the season. These items often refresh periodically and may become vaulted, never to be seen again. However, with the v26.20 update in Fortnite, the Item Shop has now received a fresh new look.

The shop has a new design, but it hasn’t been released to live servers yet. However, we expect it to come out soon, possibly within the next few days.

With the update, Epic Games developers have created a new interface for the Fortnite Item Shop. With this new interface, the design has become simpler and more user-friendly. This unique design allows you to filter through various categories in the Item Shop. You no longer have to click or select an item to view it. The icon will move over to the side, and a preview of the item will be shown on the right-hand side of the screen.

With the new design, you no longer have to view each item separately and can quickly switch through the various items to make your choice. It’s no surprise Fortnite is constantly changing. With multiple updates, which include collabs, new characters, weapons, and quests, it would also make sense for the interface to change. With this approach, Fortnite has streamlined its Item Shop. Without many chunky blocks in the way, you can now make your way to the item you’re looking for without much hassle.
