Many Fortnite weapons in Chapter 4 – Season 3 are capable of dealing massive damage. Epic Games has released a lot of new items, from the Cybertron Cannon to FlapJack Rifle, allowing players to dominate their opponents easily.

However, one weapon was secretly buffed and is currently among the most powerful weapons in the video game. This weapon is the Shadow Tracker, and many players believe that it’s overpowered after the latest buff.

Shadow Tracker has always been reliable, but the new buff has made it much stronger.

This Fortnite weapon can be used from almost every range

Shadow Tracker is an Exotic weapon that was first added in Chapter 2 – Season 5. In the current Fortnite season, it can be purchased from Peely at Shady Stilts. The Tracker’s Armory augment also grants the weapon.

What makes this Fortnite weapon special is that it can be used from almost every range. By tap-firing it, players can deal decent damage from medium range, but the latest buff made it deadly from close range as well.

In addition to this, the Shadow Tracker marks enemies for a brief duration after every single hit, which is an amazing perk.

The secret buff has reduced the recoil on the Fortnite weapon, making it much more effective from close range. With 29 damage per shot and a fire rate of nearly seven bullets per second, the Shadow Tracker is good enough to replace some submachine guns.

In comparison, the Common Twin Mag SMG deals 16 damage per shot, and its fire rate is 13. The Legendary SMG deals 20 damage per shot, yet only shoots 11 bullets per second.

It’s also important to note that the Shadow Tracker can further be improved with Reality Augments. The Light Fingers augment makes the Fortnite weapon reload faster, which makes it much more effective in combat.
