Fortnite just recently released its summer update, bringing many cool new items and features to the game. This also includes a firework gun, which is perfect for the festive season. Even though the surfboards ended up not being included in the update, Epic Games still brought some cool things.

Players have taken to social media to share what they think about the game, Twitter user Shiina started a poll asking players how they are feeling about it, and comments start flooding in.

Players don’t seem to be playing the new summer update

The poll on Twitter made by Shiina has gotten many players replying to it, and surprisingly, many have not been playing the summer update, says the poll. However, this is understandable, considering it was released during a long weekend when many were probably on vacation.

20.2% of those who voted say they like it, 25.8% dislike it, and the rest have not played. With over 34,000 votes, the poll gives a pretty good idea of what the community thinks. Half of those polled don’t seem to be interested in playing, even though they voted on a poll from a known Fortnite leaker. However, of those that did, it seems like it’s half and half, which is a pretty close outcome.

One user in the comments said, “They seem to really be putting all effort into whatever they have coming this winter, lol.” Meaning that they haven’t done much in this update that is intriguing players. This is pretty true, considering the update didn’t bring a ton of new content, only a couple of things, and that there seems to be a lot of new skins coming this month and hopefully next.

Some players are also claiming that this update is worse than the one last summer. Another player made a funnier comment stating that players would need a second because they are crawling out of bed, which is a perfect symbol of what summer really is for a lot of people.

All in all, it seems many players are claiming the update to be trash, sadly. While there are some cool things added, it does seem Fortnite is possibly holding out, which could mean something big is coming this winter. Players will have to wait and see what is in store for them then.
