The Steam Summer Sale 2023 is rapidly approaching and is due to begin on the 29th of July, we can hardly contain our excitement. This time before the sale allows us to ponder and speculate on the sort of games we will see discounted during the Steam Summer Sale. Here are the games we want to see discounted in the 2023 Steam Summer Sale.

What games do we want to see discounted in the Steam Summer Sale 2023?

Just a quick disclaimer, this isn’t us suggesting we know what games will be discounted, the only games we know of are the ones released in the Summer Sale 2023 trailer.

There are lots of games out there, they come in all flavors and sizes but we have some definite items we’d like to see go on sale in the Steam Summer Sale 2023.

Here are some of the titles that we want to see discounted during the Steam Summer Sale in no particular order:

• Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
• Rust
• Six Days in Fallujah
• The Elder Scrolls Online
• Dead by Daylight
• Grand Theft Auto V
• Cities: Skylines
• Rainbow Six Siege
• Cyberpunk 2077
• Hogwarts Legacy
• Fallout 76
• Rimworld
• Street Fighter 6
• Microsoft Flight Simulator

There is a mix of games here, both old and new. The beauty of the Steam Summer Sale is that new games aren’t exempt from discounts. It is far less likely that a newer game will be discounted during the Summer Sale, but there is always a chance.

We already know that Rust will be discounted during the summer sale, as the trailer suggests. However, we don’t know exactly how big of a discount will be applied.

In a word, lots. Far too many to list here, but we’ll give you a snippet of some of the games that were on offer during the 2022 Summer Sales. Here’s a list of games that were discounted last year, 91Mobiles reports.

• Half-Life: Alyx – 50% off
• Naraka: Bladepoint – 30% off
• No Man’s Sky – 50% off
• Titanfall 2 – 84% off
• Ghostwire: Tokyo – 50% off
• Tales of Arise – 50% off
• Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition – 50% off

As you can see, there were some pretty big games on offer last year, and we can only expect the same to be offered this time around. However, we foresee further discounts due to the increasing age of the games.

How big were the discounts at the Steam Summer Sale 2022?

Most games during last year’s Steam Summer Sale were discounted to 50% and beyond. Even some newer games like God of War were discounted to 50% despite it being released to the PC in 2022. Even brand-new games such as Dying Light 2 saw a sizeable discount despite the game being brand new and not just a new PC port of an older game, like God of War.

It’s clear to see why the Steam Summer Sale is such a celebrated event, you can pick up AAA games for a fraction of the price.

No, unfortunately, there is no way to tell what games will be on sale early. Other than the snippet of the games we got in the Steam Summer Sale trailer. There’s a very high chance that whatever game you’re looking for will go on sale because thousands of relevant games go on sale every time Steam has a major sale.
