Generation Zero is a first-person survival game with a huge focus on cooperation. The game was developed and published by Avalanche Studios, responsible for the big hits like the Just Cause franchise or Mad Max.
The game puts players on the front line of the battle against the machines in an alternate history Sweden. There is a lot of post-apocalyptic themes in the game. Generation Zero is set in 1989. The game offers a lot of exploration and shooting to machines similar to Horizon Zero. It has a rich story that is mostly written in various notes and collectibles throughout the game. You can dive really deep into the lore of the world presented in the game.
Generation Zero Landfall update adds a third additional faction to this gorgeous open world. It will include two brand-new machine types: The Soviet Lynx and The Soviet Wolf. It also revamps some parts of the map in the South Forest region, adds new rewards, and more.

Generation Zero is an awesome co-op game that is often overlooked. It does not have a split-screen and any form of couch cooperation, and only online mode but it is a lot of fun. You get to choose your character and explore the world looting various houses, cars, bags, and more.
It has that unique atmosphere that feels kind of like single-player DayZ but with machines instead of zombies and it is a lot of fun. It can be scary, but also immersive if you let yourself sink into the world of Generation Zero. It can be played for up to 4 players in total.
