Google News and Google Discover are a big part of how websites such as ourselves get traffic. Especially on days like Prime Day. It is the driving force behind the news and getting important information to you as fast as possible, but it seems today, google has other ideas. Google News breaks just in time for Amazon Prime Day

Google identifies News indexing issue just in time for Prime Day
The frustrating thing is, most of these big websites rely on News and Discover to bring you the best deals on days such as Prime Day, or other big sales days like the Steam Summer Sale, or Black Friday.
Today is Amazon Prime Day, and many sights are fighting to bring you the best deals without the aid of Google News.
Google has identified the issue linked here and is working on a fix. Here is what Google has to say on the matter

It seems there has been an indexing issue. Indexing is basically where Google finds your webpage URL and displays it within the Google search engine. Think of it as a kind of search and display mechanism. If your page does not indes, then it can’t get easily get traffic from Google.
The issue began on the 10th of July 2023 at 13:01 PDT. And there’s still no word as to whether Google News will come back online before the end of Amazon Prime Day.
