It appears that Hideo Kojima’s new game has been leaked. The game features a previous collaborator of his, and is seemingly a horror based title.

New Kojima Game Reportedly Called Overdose

Mads Mikkelsen Death Stranding

According to Tom Henderson, a known leaker, over at TryHardGuides, he’s seen early footage of the game that features Margaret Qualley, the actress who plays Mama within Death Stranding. Previously Jeff Grubb, another insider, has stated that Kojima was in talks with Xbox which would result in Xbox publishing their next title. Henderson describes the footage that he’s seen as follows:

Footage shows the character walking through dark corridors with a flashlight in third-person, but it’s been suggested that the game can be played in first-person too. A jump scare at the end of the footage shows ‘GAMEOVER’ followed by ‘A Hideo Kojima Game’….’OVERDOSE'”

Overdose is reportedly the current title for the game, although it is unknown whether or not this is the final title for the game. It’s possible we may see an announcement of the game at either the upcoming Summer Games Fest or the Xbox/Bethesda Showcase.

In recent months it’s also been revealed by Norman Reedus that he’s currently working on Death Stranding 2, with the actor stating that:

It took me maybe two or three years to finish all the MoCap sessions and everything. It takes a lot of work. And then the game came out, and it just won all these awards, and it was a huge thing, so we just started part two of that.”

It’s currently unclear as to whether Kojima is working on Death Stranding 2 at the same time as Overdose or if Overdose is at all related to the Death Stranding franchise, and as to whether or not Kojima is planning on making Overdose a multi-platform game.
