Intel’s initial 14th gen launch has been and gone, but now we’re gearing up for the Intel 14th gen non-K CPU release date. In other words, Intel will be releasing a number of additional SKUs to fill out their line-up of Intel 14th gen CPUs. The non-K variants are cheaper due to lacking overclocking potential, but these new SKUs are likely to feature some more budget-friendly i5 and i3 processors. The power-saving T-series may also be part of this wave of processors.

If you don’t need all the power in the world and instead want to pick up some latest-gen budget CPUs, then Intel have you covered as usual. They are well known for catering to a wide range of users, down to their efficient i3 processors. On the flipside, we will also be seeing non-K variants of the 14900K, 14700K, and 14600K SKUs which have already been out for some time now. Another thing we want to discuss is the Intel 14th gen non-K CPU price, with some interesting leaks already prior to CES 2024.

Intel 14th gen non-K CPU release date history

While the 14th gen non-K CPUs are not yet here, we can look back to some historical release date history. The 13th gen is a good place to look, and Intel are likely to stick to a fairly similar schedule in 2024 – they launched last year’s processors just ahead of CES.

Intel released the following non-K CPUs on January 3rd, 2023:

  • Intel Core i9-13900
  • Intel Core i9-13900F
  • Intel Core i9-13900T
  • Intel Core i7-13700
  • Intel Core i7-13700F
  • Intel Core i7-13700T
  • Intel Core i5-13600
  • Intel Core i5-13600T
  • Intel Core i5-13500
  • Intel Core i5-13500T
  • Intel Core i3-13100
  • Intel Core i3-13100F
  • Intel Core i3-13100T

They then followed it up with another couple just a month later in February:

  • Intel Core i7-13790F
  • Intel Core i5-13490F

Intel 14th gen non-K CPU release date rumors

Let’s jump into the key details. First off, Intel will of course be attending CES 2024 and we expect to see more on these new non-K CPUs directly from them. The big event starts on January 9th in Las Vegas, so there’s plenty to look forward to in the near future. The good news is that current rumors point towards a launch on January 8th, again like last year, just ahead of CES. VideoCardz are one source to report this, with a whole host of SKUs being leaked by Spanish retailer Coolmod, posted on X by well-known leaker momomo_us. These include non-K SKUs for i9, i7, i5, and i3 processors – in much of the same fashion as last year, which is a promising sign.

This big launch may also coincide with new 14th gen Core HX processors for gaming laptops – so it’s a big time of year for Intel as usual. Closely following the launch, we expect to see many of these new arrivals to the Intel 14th gen going on sale shortly after across a number of different retailers.

Intel 14th gen non-K CPU price leaks

If you’re wondering about how much these non-K CPUs will cost, then you’re in luck. The leak mentioned above has provided us with lots of pricing information to take a look at, at least for a European market. There are listings for the F variants as well, meaning there are no integrated graphics onboard (and therefore cheaper).

Intel 14th gen non-K CPULeaked price
i9-14900 (5.8GHz)€599.95
i9-14900F (5.8GHz)€574.96
i7-14700 (5.4GHz)€409.95
i7-14700F (5.4GHz)€394.95
i5-14500 (5.0GHz)€249.95
i5-14400 (4.7GHz)€249.95
i5-14400F (4.7GHz)€219.95
i3-14100 (4.7GHz)€149.96
i3-14100F (4.7GHz)€124.94

Of course, it’s hard to judge how reliable this pricing is – the i5-14500 and i5-14400 at the same price is an oddity. The same retailer has been cutting the prices of existing K-series 14th gen CPUs in anticipation of the new launch however. Interestingly, no non-K i5-14600 is listed within this leak, but it is something we expect to see given last year’s line-up.

What about expected Intel 14th gen T-series CPU release date, price & specs?

Interestingly, the price leaks haven’t revealed anything just yet about the expected T-series processors. If you aren’t aware of what these are, the Intel assigns the ‘T’ suffix to models which are designed for a ‘power-optimized lifestyle’. You can see their full list of suffixes here. In other words, these are desktop processors which are designed to be more power efficient with a low TDP. This is ideal for compact PC builds where you don’t have much space for bulky cooling solutions, though it does come at the cost of decreased performance.

While these specific SKUs were missing from that retailer leak, user momomo_us has yet again posted leaks about these new 14th gen T-series and their specifications, showcasing a low 35W TDP for cool operation compared to the 60-65W TDP of regular models. Based on last year, we expect them to release at the same time (or close to) the other non-K models. In terms of price, it’s hard to know, but they will be cheaper than the equivalent base models you can find above.

Alongside the usual suspects, the new 2-core entry-level Intel Core 300T gets a mention

FAQs

What is an Intel 14th gen non-K CPU?

Intel has a number of different suffixes for their range of processors. Any CPU that includes the ‘K’ suffix is capable of overclocking. These non-K alternatives therefore cannot be overclocked, but this makes them cheaper.

Non-K CPUs also include the F-series (no iGPU), and T-series (low powered) processors.

Are Intel 14th gen non-K CPUs cheap?

If you’re looking for a cheap yet modern CPU, these 14th gen non-K SKUs are for you. Due to their lack of overclocking support, the price is reduced.

Intel will also introduce some entry-level CPUs as part of their non-K range, which will include the i5-14400, i5-14500, and i3-14100 models.
