Intel is just days away from releasing its 13th generation Raptor Lake CPUs into the world, there’s a lot of excitement surrounding these CPUs as we suspect they may be out-performing AMD’s latest Zen 4 release. Here’s our i7-13700K where to buy page. *Update* 20/10/22 – Intel is set to launch its 13th-generation Raptor Lake CPUs at 2 PM, this will be when you can snag your 13th gen CPU as it will be available to buy from online retailers. See the links below as we’ve outlined where to buy an i7-13700K CPU, so you don’t have to spend time scouring the web. If you’re lucky you might be able to find a CPU listed a little earlier than expected.

*Update* – We are just a day away from the official release of Intel’s 13th-generation CPUs. We encourage you to check back here regularly, as some retailers list high ticket components early to get the jump on sales. Even though this isn’t supposed to happen, it still does. The official release time is 2 PM on Thursday, October 20th.

Intel Core i7-13700K release date 

The release date of the Core i7-13700K has been confirmed as the 20th of October 2022. This release date was announced at intel’s 2022 Innovation event by Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger.

Intel 13th generation performance 

We don’t officially have our hands on the CPUs yet and we can’t wait until we do but, we got a snippet of what we can expect from Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger. The following announcement was made at the latest Innovation event held by Intel.

Pat explained that the 13th gen is expected to show a single-core performance increase of up to 15% over the Alder Lake equivalent, this is accompanied by a multi-core performance increase of up to 42%. That is a huge increase in performance.

The 13700K is a superior CPU for the price, it’s mid-range nature means it’s an ideal candidate for gamers and streamers alike, with its unusually large number of powerful cores for a mid-range CPU.

The Core i7-13700K is set to cost $499 USD, that’s a decent chipmunk of change less than the 7900X on AMD’s side that’s on offer for $549. But the 13700K has less hardware than the 7900X, so can the two really be compared?
