CPU deals are rife this time of year, but what time is the best to snag a CPU deal? We explore when CPUs are cheapest, and when out of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, would be the best time to buy them. Is Black Friday or Cyber Monday better for CPU deals?

With that being said, they are often considered part of the same event in this day and age, with some retailers just opting to have a week-long sale that covers both days. So you might find that in the next few years, Cyber Monday may disappear and just be included in the week-long Black Friday festivities. Let’s begin with the ultimate CPU-securing showdown, Black Friday vs Cyber Monday.

Are CPUs cheaper on Black Friday or Cyber Monday?

You see, it’s hard to tell exactly when the best deals occur on a product without actually being there, luckily, we have Camelcamelcamel to help us out. Camel is a price tracker that helps us see the historical price data for items on Amazon. So, using this tool we were able to get a better idea of what day was better to purchase a CPU last year.

In this gallery, we have the historical prices for the i9-12900KS, 12900K, and 12600K over the past year or so. We have highlighted the period of interest which is the back end of November to the start of December. If you’re wondering why we’re using 2 generations old hardware, it’s because the prices of the CPUs have been given a chance to settle, the 13th and 14th gen are still relatively expensive, and don’t have much historical data.

The interesting thing is that big sales tend to happen around the start of December and extend into the month. This means that Black Friday might be an initial sale, but the real savings begin in early December for the Christmas period. With that being said, it looks like Cyber Monday is the best time to find a deal out of the two, but if you can, hold off until early December.

If you really can’t wait until then, we have some CPU deals you can have right now!
