HyperBox is a new ragdoll sandbox game based on the euphoria physics engine, you might be familiar with euphoria, it’s the engine that made throwing people down the stairs on GTA IV so fun. With hyperBox taking the internet by storm, we have to ask: Is HyperBox on Steam? If it isn’t right now, then when?
HyperBox is garnering increased attention on TikTok for the brutal executions you can perform on ragdolls in this sandbox game. Everyone into guns, blood, or ragdolls wants a copy of HyperBox. Since downloading HyperBox can be a bit of a hassle
Is HyperBox on Steam?
Sadly, no, not right now. There is a game on Steam named Hyperbox, but upon further inspection, you will see that it’s not the game we’re talking about. We hope this doesn’t create any conflict in the future should the creator, Hyperr Hydra want to add the game to Steam at a later date.
Speaking of which, I have some information on the subject from Hyperr Hydra themselves.
Will HyperBox be added to Steam?
I was lucky enough to have a chat with the creator of HyperBox, Hyperr Hydra, on Linkedin, and they told me that they want to add the game to Steam, they just haven’t gotten around to it yet. Also Steam asks for a hefty $100 upfront to put your game onto Steam, which we’re sure HyperBox would make back in a heartbeat, but it’s still a large sum of money to front.
Hydra’s exact words were as follows:
“Yeah I haven’t put the game on Steam because it comes with a hefty $100 upload price and I haven’t gotten around to it yet”, Hyperr Hydra states.
When asked specifically about a time or date that HyperBox may be on Steam, Hyperr Hydra responded with:
“And to answer your question, no, there is no date or estimate at the moment for Steam. Once I am satisfied with the state of HyperBox and I have fixed most bugs, I will move to Steam.“
So it seems that the solo developer has every intention to bring HyperBox to Steam, unfortunately, however, there is no official date yet. We do have to commend the commitment that Hyper Hydra has to craft a high-quality game, where some may be tempted to slap a half-finished game on Steam to get a quick payday. Hydra seems incredibly invested in making sure the game is in a playable state and is up to scratch in terms of quality.
