The classic arcade series Mortal Kombat will usher in a new era for the franchise with Mortal Kombat 1. In order to put their servers to the test, Mortal Kombat 1 is having an online stress test to prep the game for the weight of players online all at the same time.

Plenty of Mortal Kombat fans want in on the stress test, but there are questions that need to be answered. When does the stress test start? How do you sign up for the stress test? What platforms is the stress test on? Can my laptop handle it?

If you need to know if the Mortal Kombat 1 Online Stress Test is on Nintendo Switch, look no further because we’ve got the answer.

Mortal Kombat 1 Online Stress Test – is it on Nintendo Switch?

No, the Mortal Kombat 1 Online Stress Test is not able to be played on Nintendo Switch. WB Games has confirmed that the online stress test will only be on the following platforms:

  • Xbox Series X/S
  • PlayStation 5

Sadly, Nintendo Switch fans won’t be able to take part in the online stress test. However, there could be additional tests for the other platforms not part of the online stress test in the future, before the game is out in September. There is no official word on this though, just speculation.

The online stress test is designed to literally stress out the online servers for Mortal Kombat 1 so that the game will run as smoothly as possible at launch.

The stress test will only be for those with a WB Games account, playing on Xbox Series X/S or PlayStation 5 platforms, and selected for the test. The selected are chosen at random. You don’t need a PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold subscription to join, but you will need an internet connection.

There’s no word on if a future stress test will include Nintendo Switch players, so for now, fans will just have to be patient.
