It seems that some PC fans are already getting their hands on the 14th Gen CPUs, with images showing off the box appearing on Intel Sub-Reddit. The image, which cannot be verified but certainly looks authentic shows what appears to be a 14700K CPU – which can be seen here.

This appears to be verified in some of the benchmarking tests, which we won’t be linking to here but is trending on Reddit. As with everything like this, it is important to take this with a pinch of salt. When the CPU is released, as per every year, there will be many official benchmarks that can form the basis of an evaluation.

The news comes as we reported that a retailer based in the US may have accidentally revealed the pre order and launch date of the next generation of Intel CPUs. While nothing has been made official yet, there are strong rumours that the 14th Gen Intel CPUs, which are also coined Meteor Lake, will be coming imminently. You can follow the latest Intel 14th Gen leaks and rumours in our dedicated Intel 14th Gen release date hub, which covers off the main points in more detail.

The reaction to the CPU in the Intel sub-Reddit, from those assuming this is a 14th Gen CPU, has been very positive. It’s clear a lot of people are excited about the next wave of CPUs from Intel, despite us thinking the 13th had only just arrived. In fact, it’s hard to believe that the 13th coming up to one year old, with it launching in October last year.
