Trailers for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone are immediately dissected by the community when they are released. This isn’t just because of MW3, but because of the future content that will be in Warzone. As everyone knows, Warzone will have changes as it moves to MW3’s engine.

JGOD, a well-known streamer, has analyzed the Gamescom trailer for MW3 and believes he’s found the new map for Warzone. We’ve seen it for ourselves and it’s difficult to deny this isn’t brand new.

New MW3 map for Warzone

It’s pretty easy to see this is Warzone because the trailer shows the player jumping out of an aerial vehicle. This should be a regular mission, but JGOD noticed that there is a huge detailed map around the mission that makes him think it’s actually the new Warzone map. The mission should contain the player in the upper portion, but the rest of it is too detailed to not be used.

Activision is showing off the different ways to navigate through the map, from ATVs to helicopters, LTVs, and multiple other vehicles. These are ways to navigate an open world, not really a way to get around in a mission for the single player campaign.

We see what JGOD is saying and it’s hard not to agree with him. It’s very detailed for something that won’t be used for very long. This proposed new map has a lot of details we’ve seen in Verdansk, the buildings are similar to those seen in Verdansk, and there’s a tunnel where the old map held the prison.

While it’s not the same as that old map, it’s cool that Sledgehammer Games used a player-favorite map to create their newest Warzone.

There is no confirmation of what the next Warzone map will look like and Activision has not commented on JGOD’s assumptions. This may just be a really detailed mission map that we can look back on as a high achievement from Sledgehammer Games.
