The final wave of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass is finally coming. This DLC has released over 40 new courses for the Mario crew to race on, new characters, and more.

With the release of Wave 5 which introduced a brand new track and three new playable characters, fans are expecting a lot with the final release. When will racers be able to enjoy the last wave of content for the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC?

When is the release of Mario Kart 8 Booster Course Pass Wave 6? We’ve got all the details you need right here.

When is Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC Wave 6 releasing?

As of right now, there is no official date for the release of the final wave of the Booster Course Pass for Mario Kart 8. While the official website does let us know the wave will be released before December 31, 2023, we don’t have a release date yet from Nintendo.

We predict the next wave will be released around Thursday, November 16, 2023. This will space it out similarly to previous releases of the DLC.

The DLC content courses have been steadily released in waves since March 2022, with the most recent Wave 5 being released in July of this year.

What is in Wave 6 of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC?

We don’t know for sure yet which maps will be included in the Deluxe Booster Course Pass Wave 6, but we do know there will be eight maps in total divided into two cups:

  • The Acorn Cup
  • The Spiny Cup

There is plenty of speculation on what maps could be included in either cup, but there are always curveballs. Nintendo released a brand new track with Wave 5, Squeaky Clean Sprint, which had not been predicted.

We can guess that there will be more Mario Kart Tour maps coming, as at least one has been included in each wave release. Previously released waves included Amsterdam Drift, Los Angeles Laps, New York Minute, Bangkok Rush, Sydney Sprint, Paris Promenade, Vancouver Velocity, and more. Other fan-favorite maps have been added in previous waves, including Sunset Wilds, Koopa Cape, Merry Mountain, Shroom Ridge, Snow Land, Waluigi Stadium, Daisy Cruiser, Rock Rock Mountain, Choco Mountain, Rainbow Road, Toad Circuit, Waluigi Pinball, Maple Treeyway, Ninja Hideaway, Moonview Highway, Boo Lake, and the legendary Coconut Mall. It’s safe to assume the final wave will be just as pleasing.

Nintendo has been picking maps from all of Mario Kart history, such as Double Dash, Mario Kart Super Circuit, Mario Kart Wii, and even the original Super Mario Kart for the SNES.

There are also two more spots available for playable characters. We recently received Wiggler, Kamek, and Petey Piranha in the fifth wave, and Birdo in a Wave 4. So, the final two spots will be filled with even more characters available to race with.

Hopefully, more information will be revealed during the next Nintendo Direct, so players can finally know more about the final DLC course in the expansion pack.
