Remember NVIDIA 3D Vision? The GPU giant ended support for stereoscopic hardware and drivers in mid-2019, leaving fans in a lurch as all Game Ready drivers from version 425.31 onward are no longer feature 3D Vision updates. Despite this, there’s a vibrant community of 3D fans who work tirelessly to ensure 3D Vision continues to work with games, albeit without NVIDIA’s blessing.
One modder has taken it upon themselves to plug the gap by conjuring up a nifty tool called 3D Fix Manager that allows users to install 3D Vision fixes with incredible ease.
As creator Paul Pauldusler explains:
“I’d like to share an application with you I’ve been working on for a while. It’s called “3D Fix Manager” and the reason I developed it is that I wanted to have a more comfortable way for installing 3D Vision Fixes and a user-friendly approach for editing hotkeys in order to quickly change 3D related settings like 3D depth and convergence while gaming.”
Notable features include:
3D Fix Manager is free to download, although Pauldusler welcomes donations for those wanting to donate some spare cash for their efforts. You can download the necessary files right here. Naturally, you’ll need an NVIDIA GPU and compatible display. Otherwise, the app is pretty forgiving in terms of requirements, even running on Windows 7 and 8 for those with older machines.
Pauldusler is regularly updating the app with improvements and fixes, so check back for updates. For a list of known issues, you can check the dedicated 3D Fix Manager site right here.
