Dr. DisRespect is no stranger to Call of Duty controversies and issues. but they normally don’t leave that franchise. In the middle of a Starfield stream, Dr. DisRespect pointed out that he was denied any sponsorship or partnership with Bethesda over the issues he’s experienced with Call of Duty related content.

When thinking of what controversies Dr. DisRespect could have been denied for, there were two huge issues that happened recently. Keep in mind that we take no stance either way and are just reporting this news.

Call of Duty issues are hurting Dr. DisRespect

After Doc’s team asked Bethesda if they’d like to work together, the two-time champ received the response, “Due to past controversies, there’s no way we can work with Dr. DisRespect.” Doc then asked if he could just get the game when other streamers got it.

This is pretty reasonable for a huge streamer like Doc when it’s normal for medium-sized streamers and YouTubers but was denied again. Dr. DisRespect pointed out that the head of publishing at Bethesda had “he/him” in his bio, and said it made sense.

Dr. DisRespect recently had issues when defending a tweet from NickMercs, something many streamers and YouTubers chose to do, but this was related to the LGBTQ community. My friends at Gamer Update show another controversy on top of that with Dr. DisRespect.

Dr. DisRespect’s response to the comments that came from his handling of the situation was that he doesn’t believe politics should come to the gaming industry. Ever since gaming was seen as a media giant, politics and opinions have found their way to games, but this is how people express themselves.

Every creative medium has a bit of politics in it because it affects the individual making the content, and as Kevin Smith said, art is putting out a piece of yourself for the world to see. Politics seem to be here to stay, but we need to remember that’s a two-way street, both sides should be able to voice their opinions.

However, we take no stances here, we just keep you informed.
