The official Call of Duty Twitter has been busy lately, with the release of Season 5 for Modern Warfare 2 and the Reveal Event for Modern Warfare 3 here. With all the excitement around the game, fans can get excited that the return of the vote to skip map option was seemingly teased by the official CoD Twitter.

Map voting hasn’t been in the official series for a while now, and many fans have been voicing their want for the feature to return for the latest title, MW3. While this isn’t an official confirmation, the tweet itself is pretty obviously at least teasing the option.

Let’s go into further detail about the vote to skip map option, and how it was teased by the tweet from the Call of Duty account.

Call of Duty Twitter teases the return of Vote to Skip Map

The Tweet, posted on August 17, 2023, by the official CoD Twitter, features a word search with various map names hidden in it. The tweet says that the first map name you see, you have to vote to skip.

The tweet has already garnered tons of attention, with multiple replies asking if this is an official confirmation of the return of the vote to skip map option. With over 1,000 likes and tons of replies, it’s clear the official CoD Twitter team knew what they were teasing.

The vote to skip map option from previous CoD titles allowed players to vote on whether they wanted to skip a certain map while in multiplayer matchmaking. The most recent CoD game, MW2, had this feature removed. Many fans wish for it to return to the series, so they can have the chance to play their favorite maps more often and avoid the maps they don’t like.

While this isn’t an official confirmation, and the CoD Twitter hasn’t made any official announcement, this tweet can’t be ignored as evidence that the vote to skip option could be making a comeback when MW3 arrives.
