From an Nvidia range of GPUs, it is expected to feature standard models and Ti cards. That’s at least how the 30-series was, but now rumors surface that in fact the new flagship could be canceled and the top might stay as it is right now.

Kopite7kimi is a reputable leaker, and on Twitter, they have announced that the RTX 4090 Ti seems to be binned. The Ti option would provide a refresh to the lineup as we get closer to the anniversary of the release of the RTX 4090 itself. This could also be similar to the RTX 3090 Ti which was rumored to be released much earlier but delayed due to the next-gen work implemented into it.

That could be the same case for the 4090 Ti too. As Samsung announced GDDR7, Nvidia may want to wait and try to implement that into this gen for a test for the RTX 50 series as that could use the newer and faster VRAM option.

Other Ada GPU refreshes

In that same Tweet, Kopite mentions that low-grade AD103 and AD106 GPU chips will in fact be used for another version of RTX 4070 and 4060 graphics cards. Currently, those processors are being used for RTX 4080 and RTX 4060 Ti GPUs respectively.

We’re not quite sure what these would be named, it might just be the new models are just released under the same name but with these different chips to standard models. Or we could see the return of the Super naming instead but that might require other changes to the cards like the memory setup.
