We received a snippet of code a few months ago from the currently in development CS2, this code showed that announcers should be present within CS2 as they are in DATA 2. That just leaves one question, Will there be a way to customize these packs? Here’s how ohnePixel announcer pack concept brings the need for CS2 announcer packs.

Funny ohnePixel announcer pack concept makes us yearn for customizable announcer packs in CS2

A YouTuber by the name of Imavisk has created an announcer pack of ohnePixel that turns out to be hilarious. The announcer pack was made from Twitch clips of ohnePixel and would make for a fantastic addition to any game.

This announcer pack, while not serious, makes us want to have some kind of customizable announcer pack in CS2. As you can see, ohnePixel enjoyed it very much, as did we.

We know that fully customizable announcer packs aren’t something that can be broadcast over a whole server, that would be a nightmare, but there could be some pre-made ones by Valve that are comparable server-wide, like music packs are in CS:GO currently.

There’s always the option to make your own announcer pack and use it for personal use. Which can still be incredibly entertaining.

What is an announcer pack for CS2?

Well, it’s not announcing in the traditional sense. What this is referring to is the callouts the characters make when you mark an action in-game, for example, “Rush B” when you select that option as a call. You might have heard the terrorist call “planting the bomb” when planting, this is a callout and it happens automatically.

It’s far easier just to use voice chat than it is to use the callout system available in-game, but the introduction of new, funny, or serious announcer packs could change that. Giving people a reason to use the available in-game functionality for callouts.
