Alienware has long been a top brand for gamers, in a number of disciplines, and their impressive range of gaming monitors are always looking to push the boundaries of display technology. With that in mind, we’ve recently seen Alienware briefly showing off two new QD-OLED monitors. We’ve got to learn just a little about them, but it’s more than enough to get excited about their upcoming release.

QD-OLED monitors offer a high end experience, mixing in that Quantum Dot technology to help some of the best OLED monitors in the brightness department. This technology has been utilized in TVs for the most part from companies such as Samsung and Sony, but monitors have also been getting in on the action. We rate the Alienware AW3423DW as the best QD-OLED gaming monitor right now, but could it be dethroned by one of these new displays?

Alienware reveal two new QD-OLED monitors at TwitchCon

TwitchCon is a massive event, which is of course focused around the popular streaming platform. The event also gives brands the opportunity to show off new tech, particularly stuff aimed towards gamers. That’s exactly what Alienware have given us here. Wccftech say that these monitors will be called the AW3225QF and AW2725DF, 32″ and 27″ QD-OLEDs respectively. You can check out Alienware’s live from TwitchCon stream if you want to see what was revealed so far.

They luckily gave us a good amount information about these monitors, which will be the world’s first 4K QD-OLED monitor, and the world’s first 360Hz QD-OLED monitor.

Comparing these specs to the AW3423DW, which is a 34″ ultrawide monitor with a 175Hz refresh rate, it seems like the new displays are here to support rather than replace the popular display. That’s all good with us, there’s good reason why it is a mainstay in our best ultrawide gaming monitor and best OLED ultrawide monitor guides.

Another detail which will affect both of these panels is that they will come with three-year OLED burn-in warranty to ensure peace of mind. The Alienware representative at the event revealed that these displays will be coming on in early January 2024, and more information will be on its way soon.
