Outer Wilds is one of the biggest indie successes in recent times. The game was received well by critics and gamers alike and it recently joined the Xbox Game Pass. But after the recent Echoes of the Eye DLC came out, players started experiencing issues that have been addressed in the new update. Mobius Digital also fixed an issue that prevented Steam and Epic Games players from saving the game.

What’s New in Outer Wilds Update 1.1.12.168

The Echoes of the Eye DLC launched with some file issues, especially on consoles. Players were unable to save their game states and it led to a lot of confusion as players were loading into older savestates. New players were also unable to save the game and it forced them to restart the game every time. Mobius has addressed the issues and hopefully, new players will be able to hop on and try the new DLC without issues.

Outer Wilds 1.1.12.168 Patch Notes

Here are the highlights of the new patch:

  • Fix for certain music layers not triggering properly in frightening situations
  • Fix for missing geometry visuals in a few hard-to-find locations
  • Fix for a rare situation causing a persistent slowdown

With the new update, Steam and Epic Games Store players should no longer have to save file issues. To check out the full official patch notes, click here.
