Cross Progression (read more about this below) also exists between different generation platforms within the same family.

True Rainbow Six Siege Crossplay - Rainbow Six Siege Cross Platform

True Rainbow Six Siege Crossplay – that is being able to play people across different platforms and consoles from different brands – will be released as a feature in early 2022 between Xbox and PlayStation gamers.

It is not known if/when PC gamers will be able to play against those on console (given the unfair advantages you get with a mouse & keyboard).

Cross Progression is the ability to use the same player stats, inventory, and game progress in the same game across different platforms.

Currently, Rainbow Six Siege cross progression is possible between platforms within the same family/brand, and when full crossplay comes in in early 2022 you will be able to do this between PlayStation and Xbox, providing you can log into both consoles.
