The Steam Summer Sale is possibly the biggest gaming sale event of the year, with millions of players flocking to Steam to save big on some of their favorite games. However, it’s not all sunshine and discounts, as some gamers are calling the Steam Summer Sale “awful”.

Some users on Reddit have been calling the Steam Summer Sale “awful”
Users on this Reddit post have been bashing the Seam Summer Sale calling it “awful”, without really justifying why they think that. One possible explanation is that the games that they wanted to see have not been put on sale. Or the discounts are not as big as they expected.
We can understand why this would be a little disappointing, but you have to remember that the Steam Summer Sale is pretty subjective. If you see games you want on sale, you’ll think the sale is the best thing in the world.
If you’re like these Reddit users, then you might think the opposite, which seems to be the case here.
Who puts the games in the Steam Summer Sale?
This seems like an obvious question but it may not be as clear cut as you think. Many of us gamers for years have been praising our lord and savior Game Newell for blessing us with fantastic sales on Steam, but it’s not really him.
Ultimately, it’s up to the game publishers whether or not the game goes on sale during these sale events. So it should be them we are thanking, or cursing if a particular game you wanted isn’t on sale.
The saying one man’s trash is another man’s treasure sort of applies here, just because you don’t like something doesn’t mean it isn’t good, or desirable to others.
