Steam now lets you reveal hidden achievements easily

If you’re an avid achievement hunter you’ll know the bane of your existence is hidden achievements. Developers add these little extra challenges to give you a sense of mystery when trying to get all the achievements. Thankfully, now, Steam lets you reveal hidden achievements easily.
Speaking of Steam, the Summer Sale is now in full swing, and you should absolutely check it out if you haven’t already.
Hidden achievements used to be a pain to find before the days of SteamDB and services alike, you basically had two choices, one was to unlock it yourself, usually by accident. The other choice was to wait until somebody else did and share it on the internet.
Now, with Steam’s new UI update, that all changes, because now you can reveal hidden achievements right from the achievements panel.
Note, that this method just reveals the achievement, it does not unlock it. If the achievement description isn’t helpful, then there may still be some googling involved.
All that you need to do is navigate to the achievements tab of any game that has hidden achievements and locate Global Achievements within that tab.
Then find the hidden achievements that you want to reveal, in our case, there are a few near the bottom of the list of achievements.
Next, we are going to reveal all of these hidden achievements by clicking on the question mark icon. This will reveal the achievement icon and the tooltip telling you how to unlock the achievement.
These achievement tooltips aren’t very helpful in this case, so again you may have to Google how to actually get the achievements once revealed.
There you have it, all of the hidden achievements you clicked on have now been revealed for you to see.
Once you exit the achievements panel, the achievements will hide again, so they will return to saying “hidden achievement” unless you actually unlock it.
Achievements you revealed will also not display as revealed in the achievements section of the game’s page.
As we mentioned before, this update came about with the new UI update Steam issues a little while ago, so if you don’t have this option within your Steam client, it might be worth checking for an update.
It’s really that easy to reveal hidden achievements on Steam now, so make sure you go and take a look at those achievements you’ve been putting off unlocking because they’re hidden.
