Besides the discounts, you’ll be able to pick up some tremendous cosmetic items for your Steam profile relating to the theme of the Summer Sale. What is the theme for the 2023 Steam Summer Sale?
Well, we don’t know officially but we won’t have to wait long to find out. The Steam Summer Sale is set to launch today at 6 PM BST, but that won’t stop us from speculating what this year’s Steam Summer Sale theme might be.
Thankfully, we’re not completely flying dark. Valve released the Steam Summer Sale 2023 trailer a few days ago, which depicted a sort of pixelated retro banner at the end of the video, advertising the sale.
This very well could be a stylized banner advertising the sale, or it could be hinting at the kind of theme we could see encompassing the 2023 Summer Sale.
It wouldn’t be the first time Steam held a Summer Sale with a Retro-looking theme. Last year, for 2022, Steam held the Steam 3000 Summer Sale that took on an SI-FI retro look. So we know that Steam is no stranger to donning the Rretro vibes.
We predict based on this trailer for the Steam Summer Sale 2023, that we will get a retro city esq style Summer Sale, the way the banner is built suggests a Stray-like style, so it could be that Steam has taken influence from popular games to craft the style of it’s Summer Sale theme.
It could, also, be absolutely nothing to do with this image, but it’s all we have to go off. Although, we doubt Steam would go through the trouble of making a stylized banner that has nothing to do with the sale itself.
