Riot Games just released a new update for its first-person shooter Valorant with a host of fixes, including some for Killjoy players. Killjoy’s Alarmbot and Turret were unretrievable after being resurrected by Sage and the new update addresses the issue. There were also some bugs with Windowed Fullscreen mode which have been addressed with the latest update.

What to Expect From Valorant Patch 4.02?

The new update does not bring any new content to Valiant, but it addresses some common issues that showed up in recent updates. AFK detection has been improved with the latest update. If you have pesky teammates who do not participate in a match, they will be detected and penalized by Riot Games more frequently after the change.

There are still some bugs with the Observer feature which are yet to be addressed. Riot Games is aware of the issues and is working on a fix.

Valorant Patch 4.02 Patch Notes

Here are the highlights of the new patch:

  • Fixed a bug where the pulsing FX around the Spectrum Z logo was appearing next to the trigger during an inspect animation on the Bulldog.
  • Updated detections for non-participatory behaviour in-game
  • Improved latency for Windowed Fullscreen mode to match closer to Fullscreen Exclusive

Riot Games is expected to release details about Valorant Episode 4 Act 2 in the coming weeks and we can’t wait to see what the game has to offer in 2022. To check out the full patch notes of the new update, click here.
