SEGA released the Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown update 1.33 patch for data fixes and does not include any gameplay-related changes. Prior to the update, players on PlayStation Network were losing their player data. In some cases, the game was overwriting the player data with new data and preventing cross-saves. A fix has been deployed but the patch is available only in Japan at the moment. There is no official word on when the update will roll out globally.

The new update addresses an issue where players were losing access to their saved data from the PlayStation Network when playing on a new device. SEGA has restored the saved data that may have been lost for players in Japan. If you are from a different region, you can expect an update soon.

- Fixed a bug where when you transfer your PlayStation ™ Network account to a device other than the one you normally use and play, the play data (dan, rank match record, etc.) may be overwritten by new data. Was given.
