Wild Hearts performance issues – update to follow in first week & how to fix

After a recent release Wild Hearts has been having some technical issues with performance. After some crashes, reports from fans of some awful issues with frame rates were made, with some even more hilarious solutions.
Omega Force – the developers – have acknowledged the existence of said issues, and have recently published an update for the game on the 21st of February.
Wild Hearts performance issues fix live now
The fix has been announced to be taking place this week, but who knows how long into this week that may by. According to Omega Force, the patch will improve PC performance, allowing Wild Hearts to be “comfortably run.”

Since the issues have arisen Omega Force have also said that they will start implementing monthly patches and updates starting in March. Hopefully this means the team are able to keep on top of issues like this in the future.

How to fix Wild Hearts performance issues
Whilst we wait on the officially confirmed you can follow these steps to reduce the impact of the performance issues.
- Install latest graphics drivers from Nvidia, AMD, or Intel
- Turn off ray-tracing
- Disable GPU overclocking
- Reduce texture, shader, and rendering quality

However, while those fixes are general fixes that might help out with preventing the game from crashing, the community has recently found a much more reliable fix for performance issues. This has actually resulted in the developers actually praising the players who found this fix.
It seems as though changing your audio settings from Stereo to 7.1 / 5.1 is the solution to all of Wild Hearts recent issues. Strange indeed.
