The ASUS ROG Ally is the handheld gaming PC you never knew you needed, it’s light, it’s powerful, and extremely difficult to put down. Like with any innovative gadget, they can sometimes be a little hard to navigate, and while many would rather treat the device like a puzzle to beat, others simply want answers now to enhance their experience. One of the earliest questions you may find yourself asking (hopefully you’ve managed to find the power button) is “how do I open the keyboard?”.
The on screen keyboard (OSK) will sometimes automatically appear, however, if it doesn’t, you need to hold down the M1 or M2 Macro buttons and press up on the D-pad to open it. You can also open the keyboard from the Command Centre or via the keyboard icon in the bottom right of the taskbar.
