Elon Musk recently founded a new company called X.AI but is that the name or will it be TruthGPT? Well, in a recent interview on Fox News, Elon casually mentioned he wanted to develop a new Language Model called TruthGPT, this still isn’t confirmed but he is 100% interested in developing a maximum truth-seeking AI.
We would have been confident in the name “TruthGPT“, however, since Elons tweet in February, a meme-coin has spawned with that name.
So what will Elon’s AI be called?
Well, the whole reasoning behind Elon jumping back into the AI limelight is around safety concerns, apparently. Elon claims current Language models and chatbots are actually lying to us, withholding certain data. We know chatbots have their limitations but this is a fresh take, with Elon claiming they are trained to lie sometimes.
This all circles back to the name TruthGPT, with Elon’s desire to build an AI that wants to understand the universe because an AI that cares about such things “is unlikely to annihilate humans because we are an interesting part of the universe.“
Elon Musk is all things X, SpaceX, Twitter moving to X Corp, and more recently the registration of X.AI. So X could play a part in the naming, however, for now, we are in the dark.
Can Elon compete with the likes of Google and Microsoft?
Elon Musk is a bit of a busy bee and it is not really a shock to see how successful he has become. Of course, Elon can compete, his name is considered a massive draw for talented individuals, so if and when the development of the new AI model begins, we expect many to flock.
