We’re more than ready for the launch of the Intel 14th gen CPUs, as the release date closes in – but does Intel 14th gen have integrated graphics? Before you go ahead and find where to buy Intel 14th gen, this is an important question to ask, especially if you’ve not got a dedicated graphics card right now.

There are a few things to explain to help you figure out if the new Intel 14th-generation CPUs will have integrated graphics. Sticking to integrated graphics is great if you don’t need high-end performance for gaming, and gives you a cushion in case your GPU does begin to fail.

Does Intel 14th gen have integrated graphics?

Yes, we know the Intel 14th gen has integrated graphics. Intel officially added specifications to its website, and we’re happy to see the inclusion of an iGPU. The ‘K’ suffix being alone is the important part, as it will mean the CPU does indeed have integrated graphics. If the model ends with an ‘F’ in any way, then this means that discrete graphics are required due to the lack of integrated graphics.

Do all Intel 14th-generation CPUs have integrated graphics?

So, we’ve alluded to it already, but will every single Intel 14th-generation CPU have integrated graphics? That’s a no. As we’ve seen in previous generations, such as the 13th gen, certain models will, and others won’t. These is easy to spot once you’ve gotten used to the Intel product suffixes, which go as follows:

  • K: High performance & unlocked for overclocking
  • F: Requires discrete graphics (no integrated graphics, requires a GPU)
  • S: Special edition
  • T: Power-optimized
  • X/XE: Highest performance possible & unlocked for overclocking

To put it simply, any Intel 14 gen CPU that you come across which includes an ‘F’ at the end of the model name does not have integrated graphics. K and F are the most common you’ll come across. Leaks reported on by the likes of Forbes have revealed both K and KF models are starting to be listed on retailer’s websites, the latter being high-performance unlocked CPUs that require discrete graphics.
