Each Resident Evil game is filled with memorable characters that often appear in future games in the series. Some of the characters in the Resident Evil 4 Remake come from Resident Evil 2 and will even be seen again if you decide to pick up Resident Evil 6. This interconnected world is filled with twists and turns for each character involved. Here are all the characters in the Resident Evil 4 Remake.

Throughout the game, you will encounter various characters from a scientist trying to make amends to a spy with a strong connection to the protagonist. Each character is unique and stands out from the next. Here are all the characters you will find:

• Leon S. Kennedy
  • Leon is the protagonist of the Resident Evil 4 Remake. You might recognize him from Resident Evil 2 where he is one of two protagonists that you play throughout the game. While he was a rookie cop in Resident Evil 2, Leon has now gone through training with the government and is much more of a professional agent.
• Ashley Graham
  • Throughout the game, your goal is to rescue Ashley and help her escape the village. She is the president’s daughter and the primary objective is keeping her safe. As you play through the game, Ashley and Leon build a connection and help each other out. With Ashley’s help, you are able to unlock specific doors and obtain additional treasures.
• Luis Sera
  • Luis is a mysterious character at first who comes off as a real lady’s man. Though his intentions aren’t clear at first, he helps Leon and Ashley throughout the game when they are in trouble. Later on, it is revealed that he is an ex-umbrella bioengineer who is trying to make amends for his heinous crimes.
• Ada Wong
  • One of the more memorable characters from Resident Evil 2. Ada Wong returns in the Resident Evil 4 Remake under the employ of a mysterious organization. Throughout the game, Ada has run-ins with Leon and contacts him to help him complete his mission. Her primary goal is to obtain the Las Plagas Amber and deliver it to her employer.
• Ingrid Hunningan
  • Ingrid is also known as Roost since she is Leon’s point of contact while out on his mission. Throughout the game, you will see interactions between Ingrid and Leon as he calls her to give her mission updates.
• Jack Krauser
  • One of the strongest enemies in the game, Krauser has multiple run-ins with Leon and tries to prevent him from escaping. Krauser trained with Leon and is the one who taught Leon to use a knife in combat.
• Albert Wesker
  • Though Wesker is not seen much in the remake, he is the employer of Ada. He wants the Las Plagas Amber to help continue his research which leads to the events of Resident Evil 5.

• Mendez
  • Mendez appears throughout the beginning of the remake as a formidable foe for Leon to overcome. Similar to Mr. X in Resident Evil 2, Mendez is unable to be defeated by simply shooting him. Mendez is also the village chief and becomes one of many bosses later in the game.
• Ramon Salazar
  • After reaching the castle, you will have a run-in with Ramon Salazar. Throughout your time in the castle, Ramon will antagonize Leon and introduce traps to slow him down. At the end of the castle section of the game, Salazar becomes another boss.
• Osmund Saddler
  • Saddler is the man behind everything happening in the village and on the island. He has a strong connection to the Las Plagas parasite and can even control the bugs in the remake. Saddler is the final boss of the game.
• Merchant
  • The Merchant is one of the most underrated characters in the game. You interact with him more in the remake and he makes countless appearances throughout the game. He is always there to help you by selling and buying weapons to aid you in your journey.
