A new season of Apex Legends is here for all players to enjoy. Each new season comes with plenty of content and updates to keep fans engaged with the game, and Respawn Entertainment is delivering once again.
As soon as we learned what Season 18 is called, we also got a look into the new content, including maps, weapons, and patch notes. Of course, with all this new content, gamers are asking if a new playable character is coming in Season 18, too.

Who is the new Legend in Apex Legends Season 18?
There actually isn’t a new Legend at all, but rather a rework done for an existing character, Revenant. This rework, also known as Revenant Reborn, brings him new abilities to use in-game, including:
- Assassin’s Instinct (Passive)
- Shadow Pounce (Tactical)
- Forged Shadows (Ultimate)
This new Revenant Rework takes the place of adding a new playable character to the battle royale, as he will play as a new character, and has a new look to go with it. While some fans were hoping for a new Legend altogether, Revenant needed the work done, and his new abilities are sure to please.
Revenant isn’t the only one receiving a rework with Season 18, as the Charge Rifle will also be reworked to give it a new weapon feel, along with tons of updates for Ranking, Matchmaking, and new collection events like the Death Dynasty Collection Event for players to earn rewards in.
New cosmetics for characters will be available to earn with the Resurrection Battle Pass, and the Broken Moon map will be added to Mixtape mode for fans to enjoy.
Season 18 of Apex Legends has a release date this August for Apex Legends players to jump in and enjoy all the new content, including the new and improved Revenant.
