The long awaited Season 12 is finally here. With new map changes and rotations, new characters and new weapon changes. But one of the more exciting parts about this new update – for some players – is simply in the new hop-up. The Kinetic Feeder, a hop-up specific to the favourite Marksman weapon and shotgun. Triple Take and the Peacekeeper. But what exactly is the Kinetic Feeder?

Kinetic Feeder – Triple Take & Peacekeeper

Sliding with the Triple Take or Peacekeeper significantly speeds up choke time and automatically reloads rounds.

So basically, if you’re a highly manoeuvrable player and often spend time sliding around, this’ll be ideal for you. Whenever you slide, your weapon’s choke or ‘charge up’ will be instant as well as it automatically reloading your rounds. Although this might seem more useful to the Peacekeeper, considering it’s a shotgun and you’ll be a lot more active with it. Thus more sliding and moving. Though with the Triple Take, you won’t exactly be quite as fast or fidgety as you would be with a shotgun. Yet, while we were testing it out, the Kinetic Feeder came in useful a number of times. Particularly in getaways and the need for a quick reload.

The hop-up doesn’t increase your damage, nor does it add anything ground-breaking to the weapons but it can be incredibly useful in the right person’s hands.

Although the Peacekeeper remains the same in this new season, the Triple Take was minorly nerfed, with devs saying:

The Triple Take’s return to floor loot has been really positive, but it’s proving to be a bit ahead of the pack with its ranged performance. We’re eliminating the bullet growth it retained from its days as a sniper to pull it in line with other Marksman rifles.

These changes involved:

  • Removing projectile growth from bullets
  • Damage reduced from 23 to 21 per bullet

There you have it, go ahead and give the Kinetic Feeder a try and see how it feels in your hands!
