The Champions played a large role in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. They helped to take down Ganon before everything collapsed. If you go searching for memories, you learn about their fates in a powerful way.

There is no denying that many players loved the Champions in Breath of the Wild. Now that The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is around, there is a chance for the Champions to rise again. Are the Champions in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom? If so, in what way?

Will the Champions be in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom?

Breath of the Wild introduced the four Champions of Hyrule; Revali, Daruk, Mipha, and Urbosa. Each of the Champions was connected to a Divine Beast. Of course, those Champions are no more, but they could come back in Tears of the Kingdom.

In Breath of the Wild, you could collect memories to learn more about the story. Through these memories, you learned more info about the Champions. Tears of the Kingdom could have a similar means of providing more information about the past.

Beyond collecting memories, new champions are in Tears of the Kingdom. The descendants of the old Champions have been seen in the trailers. The new champions are:

  • Riju – Descendant of Urbosa
  • Tulin – Descendant of Revali
  • Sidon – Descendant of Mipha

These new Champions are who will be aiding Link as he treks across Hyrule once more. They could also make appearances as companions who help Link out in dungeons. They will also add some fresh faces to the number of NPCs you will see around Hyrule.

There are a lot of characters that you can expect to see in Tears of the Kingdom and plenty of new features to try out. Make sure to preload the game if you have already purchased it and prepare for you next journey through Hyrule.
