Many of the Zelda games have had Link’s horse Epona. After all, what knight would be caught dead without their trusty steed by their side? The hero of Hyrule needs a way to get around after all and Hyrule is a large place.

Throughout the game, you will explore vast fields, dark forests, and boundless skies. All of this is too much to cover on foot. Because of this, Link will definitely need some mode of transportation. So, are there mounts in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom?

The short answer to this question is a resounding yes with a lot of emphasis. In multiple trailers, Nintendo has shown Link riding a horse across the valleys and fields of Hyrule. The horse in question is most likely Epona since she has always been Link’s horse but there has been no confirmation on that yet.

Nintendo has also shown off some new abilities that Link has such as the Recall ability. One of the new abilities Link has is given to him courtesy of his new arm, the Ultrahand. The Ultrahand gives Link the ability to fuse items together and Nintendo has already shown off the capabilities of this item.

With the Fuse ability, you can now combine items to form massive contraptions. Contraptions like cars and flying machines have already been showcased. While these aren’t traditional mounts, they are means of transportation that you will have access to in Hyrule.

If you were wondering about Link’s motorcycle, there has been no word of it making a reappearance in Tears of the Kingdom. This doesn’t mean that it won’t appear later in the game or even as DLC. After all, it was included in Breath of the Wild as DLC. Rest assured, even if the Master Cycle doesn’t appear in the game, there are still plenty of other ways to get around.
