Assassin’s Creed Mirage takes place around the same area that Altair roamed in the original game. This has led many to wonder if the original protagonist of the series would be seen in this new entry. It really depends on an important factor.

If we’re gonna see Altair again in all of his magnificence, it’s a good idea to have a great gaming laptop. Altair wouldn’t be the same glitching just because your CPU and GPU weren’t up to par. We’ll have your answer below on whether Ubisoft will bring their first assassin back to the series.

Will Altair make a cameo in Assassin’s Creed Mirage?

Altair will likely not be in Assassin’s Creed Mirage, but it all depends on how realistic Ubisoft wants to be. Assassin’s Creed Revelations brought Altair back through memories shown to Ezio and Desmond, which made it pretty believable because they were recalling a long time ago. Since Assassin’s Creed: Mirage takes place about 300 years before the original game, Ubisoft would have to find a reason for Basim Ibn Ishaq to see the future.

This isn’t impossible because of the pieces of Eden, but it’s important to note that this has never happened before. The series has been pretty firm about characters not being able to see the future, but there is a precedent for the mystical happening. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla really took the cake in its lack of stealth and heavy focus on gameplay that didn’t feel like an Assassin’s Creed game at all.

We know that Assassin’s Creed wants to be as realistic as the originals were, but after seeing Basim teleport to kill people, it’s not far-fetched to assume they’ll take liberties without much of an excuse. So if you want a return of Altair, you’ll likely need to hope this doesn’t act a lot like the original Assassin’s Creed, and acts more like where the franchise has taken things.

It is likely that Basim will come across an area of mysticism similar to Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Valhalla where Altair will be shown as someone who really changes the order. Altair is said to be the greatest warrior assassin, and so it makes sense that he would be referred to as a future hero.

This game also takes place in Baghdad, which is close to Damascus in the middle east, where we saw Altair become a Master Assassin. The location helps the idea of seeing the protagonist of the first Assassin’s Creed game.

Either way, this game will remind you a lot of the gameplay from Altair’s time. There is parkour, adventure, similar combat, the hidden blade and throwing knives which we remember from the earlier games in the series. We would say that it al depends on how far Ubisoft strays from the realism of the original games in the Assassin’s Creed series.
