Who trained Basim Ibn Ishaq in Assassin’s Creed Mirage? In the game, you don’t start off as a master assassin. Instead, you begin your journey as a cunning street thief. Much like other Assassin’s Creed games from Ubisoft, you don’t have all your abilities to start.

Basim appears in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla where it is revealed (spoiler) that he is the reincarnation of Loki. Prior to this, he needed to be trained to use his abilities and tools like the hidden blade, much like the protagonist who is the reincarnation of Odin.

Throughout Assassin’s Creed Mirage, you will explore the large city of Baghdad before discovering you are the Isu Loki and learning to be an assassin. All your stealth and abilities need to come from somewhere. Who trained Basim in Assassin’s Creed Mirage?

Who is Basim’s mentor in Assassin’s Creed Mirage?

Your mentor in Assassin’s Creed Mirage is master assassin Roshan. In AC Mirage, you begin as a cunning street thief before being recruited into the Hidden Ones in Baghdad. After this, Basim is trained by Master Roshan who becomes his mentor.

The story of Mirage focuses on how Basim joined the Assassin Brotherhood and is the precursor to some of the events in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. If you have played Valhalla, you know the rest of the story. Mirage is here to explain everything that leads up to the events of Valhalla with Basim.

Throughout the game, you will learn to use your parkour abilities as well as various tools like smoke bombs and throwing knives.

These abilities and tools will help you take down guards and various other targets throughout the city of Baghdad. Much like older Assassin’s Creed games, Mirage is more stealth-focused and has fewer RPG elements.

Despite the gameplay differences between Mirage and recent Assassin’s Creed titles, players can still expect a riveting story that explains more about Basim’s past and how he became who he is in Valhalla.
