Baldur’s Gate 3 – How to move objects

To move an object in Baldur’s Gate 3, you simply need to walk up to the item you want to move and then click and hold the left mouse button. While doing this, move the object to the desired location and let go of the button. This will have your character move the object.

You can move the camera during this time by using clicking the scroll wheel on your mouse. There are only specific products and items found throughout the game that can be moved in this way.

There is another method of moving items. You can pull up the interaction menu by right-clicking an object. On this menu, you will see the throw object option. Select this option to have your character pick up and throw the item. Keep in mind that you need strength to do this and the items will most likely break if it is something fragile like a crate.

If an item is too heavy, you will be told that it has too much weight for your character to carry. Because of this, it is important to bring at least one strong companion with you so you can move objects and uncover hidden secrets.
