There is no denying that Baldur’s Gate 3 will be huge. It was created by the same studio behind Divinity Original Sin and allows players to explore the Dungeons & Dragons world of the Forgotten Realms. Experience the world of magic and explore the world through the eyes of characters with different motivations. There are many races to discover and romance to be had.
There are still many questions surrounding the release of Baldur’s Gate 3. Could the game be coming to PlayStation? What about having crossplay capabilities? Will it be a next-gen console exclusive? Is Baldur’s Gate 3 next-gen only?
Is Baldur’s Gate 3 a next-gen exclusive?
Baldur’s Gate 3 will only be releasing on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC/Mac. As far as consoles go, Baldur’s Gate 3 is exclusive to the next-gen consoles. There is a bit more of a catch, however.
Baldur’s Gate III will only be available on PlayStation and PC/Mac at launch. The Xbox version of Baldur’s Gate 3 will be released later after the technical issues have been dealt with. Luckily, the game isn’t a platform exclusive.
While last-gen console users may feel left out, there is a chance the game could be coming to additional platforms over time. After all, previous titles from Larian Studios were ported to Nintendo Switch and other consoles later on.
Currently, Baldur’s Gate 3 can be pre-ordered on PlayStation or purchased on Steam. There is a digital deluxe edition of Baldur’s Gate 3 that can be purchased which includes items like the Treasures of Rivellon Pack, Divinity Bard Song Pack, and Adventurer’s Pouch. There are other items like the digital ost and digital artbook available as well.
The packs include items like a playable instrument, dagger, cloak, and different types of headgear. There are even items like the Mask of the Shapeshifter, Needle of the Outlaw Rogue, Lute of the Merryweather Bard, Cape of the Red Prince, and the Bicorne of the Sea Beast.
Throughout the game, you will meet various characters with complex ambitions. Prepare to explore the world of the Forgotten Realms.
