The inconsistency with zombies in Call of Duty would have many players asking “does Modern Warfare 3 have a zombies mode?” This is a wonder because so many Call of Duty games tend to skip out on Zombies mode, which has been the highlight of the series. MW2 didn’t have zombies, so the thinking is that MW3 doesn’t either, but that’s not necessarily true.
Zombies mode is probably the mode that players wanted the most in a CoD game, and Modern Warfare III not having some kind of outbreak mode would help Sledgehammer Games, the developer of this edition, beat Treyarch’s CoD entries.

Does Modern Warfare 3 (2023) have a zombies mode?
MW3 does have a zombies mode as confirmed by the Call of Duty Blog, but it will be drastically different from what players are used to. Players will be able to team up with other squads to survive and fight hordes filled with tons of undead in the largest Call of Duty Zombies map ever made.
This zombies mode was specifically developed by Treyarch and Modern Warfare Zombies, as it’s called, tells a story set in the Modern Warfare with missions. Zombies features and secrets for players to discover will also be in the new mode.
The mode is PvE, not PvP, and will allow many players on one map in an extraction survival experience where players face some of the biggest enemies in Call of Duty history. The whole MW series of remakes has pushed the games to a new standard of giving players everything they want. The direct sequel to MW2, which was very beloved, benefits from having its story go online. It will be available in Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC.
What will be in zombies mode in MW3?
There have been reports that Modern Warfare 3 zombies is basically Outbreak 2.0. It will feature the largest map ever for zombies mode, and you’ll be teaming up with other squads on the map to take down the undead threat for a co-op mode.
This was teased earlier by sources at Insider Gaming, and later confirmed by the official Call of Duty Twitter. The first season of the new iteration of Modern Warfare will include an all-new Warzone 2 map, a multiplayer mode, and a zombie campaign. The zombie campaign will let you unlock secrets of the zombie world, unlock lots of perks, and team up with players across the map in this next evolution of the multiplayer experience.
We know that online multiplayer would remove a lot of the difficulty, but if there’s a horde or swarm, then it could be the largest zombies game mode since Black Ops Cold War and Infinite Warfare. The Call of Duty franchise could only benefit from expanding on the series’ most popular mode, with Modern Warfare III’s zombies mode including a host of zombie nests, new open combat missions, and many new additions just to expand on this mode. This undead-filled large-scale zombies mode is all we want in the new campaign.
Fans of the franchise will be happy as the future of Call of Duty content will carry forward with a roadmap that may include zombies.
