Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 is almost here, and it looks like it’s the end of the legendary trilogy. Anyone who has seen the success of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 or the Modern Warfare series at all knows how important MW3 is for the franchise. With the slightly altered storyline and the changes, many players will want to see how it all ends.

Fans can expect a plethora of content to dive into as soon as CoD Modern Warfare III launches, including the return of beloved game modes and plenty of new maps, weapons, and gameplay to enjoy. Sledgehammer Games has been hard at work on this Call of Duty game, and if the teaser trailer is to be believed, it’s intense.

Before you learn more about the direct sequel to MW2, you should make sure to know how to preorder and all the promos available. We’ve got all the information you could want on the next CoD game right here.

When does Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 release?

Call of Duty Modern Warfare III will be officially released on November 10, 2023. After months of speculation, and the community predicting November 10 as the release date, the official trailer confirmed it. This is the first official teaser we’ve been given for the game, shown during the Reveal Event in Modern Warfare II for Season 5 as part of the season’s planned roadmap.

Many were expecting the next full release of Call of Duty to follow a two-year cycle but based on MW3’s predecessor being released last year, there is still a year in between each release date. The last key date for MW3 was the reveal event.

What’s the latest news for Call of Duty MW3?

The MW3 game was revealed in an official trailer.

With Activision keeping a tight lip on information about the next CoD title, nothing is official yet. We are hoping for new gear system, new combat vests, gloves, perks, an improved perk system, bonuses, and much more. It’d also be great to get another nod to the scrapyard and terminal maps, or even a way to access the classic minimap. We’ll have to wait and see but the wishlist is huge.

Players can expect the game to launch on the same consoles as previous titles. It’s expected it will be available on the PlayStation and Xbox platforms like:

  • PS4
  • PS5
  • Xbox One
  • Xbox Series X|S
  • PC

The cover art, which can be seen above, including the logo for Modern Warfare III was seemingly leaked and confirmed by Activision a few weeks ago, but from the trailer, we can finally see the new logo in all its glory. The game switches the series’ signature green to a deep red for the latest title. The background is also red, with faint splotches of what appears to be blood.

There have been a lot of leaks, some for a vault edition and some for the zombies mode. However, we’ll need to wait for the full reveal for official details about the newest installment in the Call of Duty franchise. We hope that this third game can truly outdo the original from Infinity Ward.

Call of Duty MW3 Features

The game will include a single-player campaign, multiplayer, the return of zombies Outbreak (expected to be the largest zombies map), and there will likely be a new Warzone map. We are sure about a new Warzone map because there’s been a new map for Warzone with every new Call of Duty release since Vanguard with Black Ops Cold War and others.

The closest we’ve gotten to a good weapons leak was a reveal of some features by JGOD, but

Players are hopeful for the return of their favorite game modes, but they will have to wait for more news. Early access is normally a huge part of any Call of Duty release, and we’re sure that the next Call of Duty game will have early access and a beta weekend. Most Sledgehammer and Treyarch Call of Duty games tend to have both.
